Workshop Objectives
This course’s focus is to outreaching to the Aboriginal community for talent, recruiting these qualified individuals to successfully retain and develop them within the company. To this end our objectives are:
- To create understanding, awareness and knowledge of Aboriginal peoples; to effectively build employment strategies to bring together the Aboriginal labour supply and the employment demands of Canadian employers;
- To develop strategic and effective methods for outreaching to the Aboriginal people and communities;
- To effectively recruit screen and select qualified Aboriginal individuals; in a fair and equitable manner based on the merit principle;
- To retain Aboriginal employees and provide professional development opportunities so they can reach their full potential in the organization.
